Happy Mother's Day!
This is my fourth year of being a mother.
Everyone tells you how fast it goes and to treasure every moment. And I try, oh how I try to soak each and every moment in but its hard with, you know, "life" getting in the way sometimes. The "life" that so many of you are familiar with: prepping for the next day, baths, lunches, cleaning, workouts, play dates, coaching, dog walking, photography business stuff, bills... whoa, whoa, whoa, stop. (hammer time)
Ok, so quit complaining, Amanda, and soak it in! Soak these moments in.
So, this morning, I grabbed my camera. I didn't pose my family. I just captured them AS IS. AS MY LIFE REALLY IS.
I love them so much. SO SO SO much.
My husband, Bill. The man who cooks breakfast for me every morning. The same one who splits that list of responsibilities with me and is the greatest companion someone could hope for. And, well, he ain't too shabby on the eyes, either ;)
Then, there's Kiki. If you've met her, you know she marches to her own tune. She's silly, unpredictable and a complete joy. I came down after a nice sleep-in (thanks, hubs!) and there she was... my sunglasses on, cracking eggies and singing Elmo songs. That's my girl.
Oh, and this beautiful young man. His kindness and thoughtfulness has clearly been passed on from his father. Brayden has an "old soul" and is so concerned about everyone else's well-being. His smile and laugh makes my heart melt.
I'm so proud of the man that made me a mother.
I love the children that call me mommy.
Happy Mother's Day 2015 <3
