Austin was my first newborn of 2015!

Oh man, did he pack a lot of personality in his tiny little baby body! His little eyes were so bright and alert during the times he was awake. Some newborns are kind of “out of it.” Not Austin! He already seems so curious about the world :) We were lucky enough to catch a few glimpses of his adorable little grin and, wow, he’s going to give his parents a run for their money. You can tell he’s going to one awesome little boy someday <3

These portraits are what I would like to offer future clients more and more. I love them!

These types of shots are meant to be more candid and allows for the family’s connections to shine through. As I would prepare for the next round of pictures, Sara would gently calm Austin by stroking his hair and talking to him softly. These are such amazing mother and baby moments. That connection… those precious moments holding that brand new life. I’m so honored to have been able to capture these moments for them so they won’t be forgotten.

I think what astonished me most about the session was how much he moved his head around to find the sound of his dad’s voice. Each time he heard a sound, his little eyes would follow to the source! What an astonishing thing for such a young baby to do!
