I am so excited to announce AND photograph Brody Michael! Momma had a tough labor but it was well worth it because he is absolutely gorgeous! I have been so honored to capture these precious moments in people's lives. This time in the hospital, those first 48 hours are magical. Yes, magical. This is the first time YOU and YOUR loved ones see this beautiful human for the FIRST time. Every detail, every toe, every finger, eyelash, wrinkle is examined and imprinted into memory.

There is also nothing like the fresh, excited feeling when you step onto the maternity floor. I had a few tears rolling down my face as I passed each room and could hear the subtle newborn cries. I felt joy and happiness for people I would never meet.

Newborns are such a gift and a story of inspiration. This little life can do anything. Who will they be? What will their personality be like? How will they affect the lives of others?

I am especially blessed to be able to capture my family members' lives. I was lucky enough to photograph Meghan and Jarrett's engagement, wedding, maternity, fresh 48 and (soon!) newborn photos! It has been a great journey with them this year and I can't wait to see where this road goes for them.

Congratulations, Meghan and Jarrett. Welcome to Earth, little Brody Michael! <3
